01 – PAINT BASICS
TASK 1 – MAKE 3 FACES
In this simple task, you are to create three different faces using the
parts given to you. Click on the image
below to save it and then open it in Paint.
Make sure that:
- All 3 faces are saved on a
single image (PNG);
- The canvas is minimized;
- No pixel errors are visible
(due to your editing);
- All components are sized
fairly well.
TASK
2 – COMPOSITION
You are to
create an image by combining several different images found on the
internet. The complexity of the work
will increase your mark.

Suggestions
- Work with large images. Enlarging a small image will give poor
quality.
- The backgrounds of your images
should be similar or it will be hard to make images match.
- Do not mix black and white with
colour (unless you want to remove all colour).
- Zoom in to cut out your
images! This is very important.
- Be sure the head is facing the same
way as the body. Otherwise, it
won’t matter how good your work is, your final product will be bad.
- Choose people/items that are
recognizable. Otherwise, your final
product will not be as interesting.
