MULTI-CAMERA SHOOT

It is often useful to be able to capture a video from different angles. To do this, you have several options:

• Shoot the scene several times (careful that they are practically identical)
• Stop the shoot to relocate the camera every time you want a different angle
• Shoot with multiple cameras

Of course, for live events such as sports, news and even interviews, you have to use multiple cameras if you wish to have a view from different angles and distances.

AUDIO RECORDING

While today’s video cameras have solid built-in microphones, it is important to note they have limited audio recording quality – specially when the video’s action is more than a few feet away from the camera.

One solution is to run a wired microphone to the camera in order to record the audio from a closer location.

A newer solution is to use an audio recorder which captures the audio separately from the video. You then have to integrate the two in a video editor.
