ROBOT DEBRIEF TASK

You will create a short slideshow that contains the following elements:

SLIDESHOW

You will create a short slideshow that will include information on your robot.

TITLE SLIDE

Your title slide should be a photo of your robot and your robot’s name.  You should crop your photo to include only your robot as well as the name of the game it was built to play (Example: Clawbot Soccer)..

OTHER SLIDES

Robot Features Slides

You need to show a few (2 or 3) of the features on your robot.  Take a photo that demonstrates each feature.  You should also briefly describe the feature.

Note that if your robot doesn’t have enough features, feel free to put more effort in the next section.

Next Time Features

If you had to build this robot all over again, what would you do differently?  What features would you consider?  For each idea, add a slide informing us what you would do differently.  Feel free to take photos of other robots, find some online or even simply sketch your ideas.

Group Photo Slide

You should have a slide with a photo of your group as well as all member names (full names).  Feel free to be innovative with your photo.  You may choose to include your robot in the photo if you wish.

Individual Member Photo Slides

You will have a slide that contains a photo of your robot with each member of your team.  You should stage it so that each photo looks awesome.  You are encouraged to use different types of shots such as:

·       A close up of the member’s face and arms working on the robot.

·       The member driving the robot.

·       The member assembling a part of the robot.

·       The member sketching a part of the robot on the board (or on a page).

·       You can even include a comical photo such as the robot driving over member.  Of course, you must always consider safety before doing any staging.

OPTION EXTRA TASK

Here are a few ideas that you can include:

  • A collage of different photos of your team and your robot.
  • A collage of different photos of your robot along with its name (and perhaps some intimidating graphics like fire and lightning).
  • A combined photo that contains each of your team member photos along with your team name.
  • Silly photos with your robot.  Remember that safety is key here.  Also be sure not to damage any equipment.
