HOW TO OPEN A TERMINAL WINDOW ON A SPECIFIC DEVICE

 

On Windows, the terminal is often referred to as the command prompt.  It can be opened by

  • Typing cmd in the run/search field at the bottom left.

 

On a Mac, the terminal, known simply as Terminal, can be opened by:

  • Going to Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal, or
  • Hitting Command + Space, typing terminal and double clicking on Terminal

 

On a Chromebook, the terminal, known as Crosh, can be opened by:

  • Hitting Control + Alt + T
