A compound gear train mechanism is a gear train mechanism that has at least one shaft with multiple gears on it.

Shafts that contain multiple gears are used where there is a need to make a significant speed or torque change.

Build a compound gear train similar to the one in the image above.  You should try to use similar gear sizes.
