MEASURING TOTAL RESISTANCE

It is usually important to know what the max resistance of a pot is before you try using it. You can find this out by simply connecting an ohm-meter to the outside legs of the pot. Try it out.

DIMMER CIRCUIT

Try creating a circuit that uses a pot to dim on and off an LED. That will get you started for the final project expectation.

PROJECT EXPECTATION

Using a potentiometer (trimpot), create a circuit that will connect two LEDs in such a way that you when you turn the pot’s dial, one LED brightens up while the other dims. Conversely, if you turn the pot’s dial in the opposite direction, the opposite happens to the LEDs.
