FLOOR PLAN PROJECT - CRITERIA

You have been hired by a construction company to design floor plans for clients that wish to purchase a house. Your floor plan must meet the following criteria:

CLIENT DETAILS

Your clients have a young family and surely wish to have a sleeping area that is located in one section of the home. They have chosen a house size of 12 m by 16 m (39.4 ft by 52.5 ft). This is a large house with over 2000 square feet!

CLIENT WISHES

The clients wish to have the following mandatory rooms. Of course, any extra room would likely impress the client and increase your chances of getting level 4 reviews.

OTHER CRITERIA

• EVERY room must have its own window! (Except for: 1/2 bathroom and any extra rooms). Windows in doors do qualify but skylights do not.
  
  
• Hallways must be kept to a minimum.
  
  
• The ensuite and the full bathroom should be placed back-to-back to create a common wall for plumbing. Toilets should be placed back-to-back.
  
  
• Plumbing must occur along interior walls only.
  
  
• There must be a minimum of two separate entrances into the house.
  
  
• The garage must be placed at one end of the house or the other - not in the middle.
  
  
• The perimeter of the kitchen work triangle should be no longer than 6.7m.
