Pixlr is owned by a private company. Most company’s primary goal is to make a profit. Therefore, there is no guarantee that Pixlr will continue to allow free access for users and one should expect changes to access over time.

SAVING FILES

You need to save two files for each task that you do.

One file should be of type PXD which is your project working file that keeps all layers separate. This file can only be opened and viewed in Pixlr.

The other file should be of type PNG. This is a common image format that can be shared over the internet and viewed on all devices.
