- Group question: What is a GIF?

supports animation.
- Pronounced JIFF, though many say
GIF with a hard G.
- Stands for Graphics Interchange
Format.

DEMO PISKEL
- Go to site (https://www.piskelapp.com/) and
start an animation/GIF/sprite.
- Explore the drawing tools and
colour selection tool.
- Explore how to add a frame and
look at the preview of your animation.
- Update the preview size.
- Go through the menu options on
the right.
- Go over how to export a GIF
animation.
- Add the downloaded GIF animation
to a Google Slide document.
GROUP TASK 1 – FIREBALL
EXPLOSION
- Create something similar to this.
- Take your time to create multiple
frames.
- Each frame, the outside of the
fireball gets a little larger.
Slowly, the middle of the fireball dissipates.
- The example consists of 14 frames
plus a few empty frames at the end.

GROUP TASK 2 – SAILBOAT
MOVING ON WATER
- Create something similar to this.
- Start by creating the blue water
rectangle at the bottom and name that layer “Water”.
- Create a second layer and name it
boat. Draw the boat in the middle
of the frame.
- Duplicate the layer and use the
Move tool to move the boat over by two pixels.
- You need to make the frames to
move the boat to the right until it gets off the screen.
- You also need to go to the start
and add frames so the boat comes from the left.
