STEAL-A-THEME GAME
THE GAME
- We will play a Steal-A-Theme game to decide the
theme of your next photo shoot.
- The teacher will release the order in which students
get their turn (or it may be random).
- The game starts with an unknown number of themes that
are hidden from you.
- Turn 1: There is a fake person, known as the dummy,
that starts. The dummy gets a
random theme from the secret pile.
- Turn 2: The first real person gets to go. That person can choose to steal the
theme from the dummy or take their own random theme. If that person stole from the dummy,
then the dummy gets a new random theme.
- Turn 3: The next real person gets to go. The real person gets to steal one of
the themes from somebody else or gets to pick a random theme. If they steal from another person,
that other person now gets their turn again by stealing or taking a new
random theme. This goes on until
somebody finally chooses a new random theme with two rules.
- In a single turn, a theme can
only be stolen twice.
- One cannot steal directly back
from the person that stole from you.
- Turn 4 to N: Continue repeating the instructions in
Turn 3 until everybody has a theme.
There is an advantage of going last as you can see all themes and
decide the one you would like. Of
course, there is no guarantee that going last gets you the theme you
want.
THEME ISSUE?
- Do you have an issue with the
theme you got? Perhaps it is not
possible for you to do? Simply
contact your teacher and we will discuss a solution.
PHOTO SHOOT
