PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY – PHOTO ESSAY

DESCRIPTION

• You will create an 8-photo photo story that describes a typical morning at home.

GOAL

• Students will develop their ability to tell a story using photography.
• Students will research and develop their understanding of a variety of photography composition techniques.

REQUIRED END PRODUCT

• You will create a slideshow of your photo essay.
• Your slideshow needs a title page and 8 other slides – one for each photo.
• Your slideshow can also include any brainstorming and planning work that you did including a storyboard.
• Each slide with a photo will also include a title, a photo number, a short caption and a listing of the photography technique(s) that you used when taking the photo.

GOT EXTRA TIME?

• Use your graphic manipulation skills to design the look for your slides. Create nice titles. Add a nice custom background. Perhaps frames?
