PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY – ALPHABET SEARCH
DESCRIPTION
- You will study your surroundings and try to find all
letters from the alphabet in objects and patterns.
GOAL
- Students will develop their observational and
organizational skills.
- Students will be more likely to fully analyze their
surroundings before taking photos in the future.
RULES
- Each photo must represent a letter.
- You may crop, rotate and mirror photos if
necessary. But the goal is to
minimize editing.
- You may not use photos of actual letters.
- You may not reorganize objects to form letters. No staging. However, you may move a single object
to photograph it from a specific angle or to allow for a cleaner
background.
REQUIRED END PRODUCT
Your teacher
will inform you of which option you need to do.
OPTION 1
- Find all letters of the alphabet
then use each one in a fun sentence of your choice. Repeating letters can be the same
photo. Place your images together
into one document.
OPTION 2
- Find letters required for a
sentence given to you by your teacher.
Repeating letters need to be different photos. Place your images together into one
document.

OPTION 3
- An alternative version of this
task is to find numbers instead of letters. Then, you would create a graphic with
your phone number( or perhaps your house number).
