LEARNING FROM HOME
RULES

PRESENCE
- During the period, you must be at your computer at
all times during the period.
- If you are going to be away from keyboard for 2 or 3
minutes, you need to place a message such as “brb” in the chat. There is no need to ask for permission
to leave for such a short amount of time.
- If you are going to be away from keyboard for more
than 3 minutes, you need to talk to your teacher about this.
- If you do not respond when your teacher calls on
you, your teacher will check the chat for a “brb” message. If there is none, then you will be
removed from the meeting and put absent.
- At the end of the period, if you do not leave when
all others leave, your teacher will call on you. If you do not respond, you will be
removed from the meet and be put absent.
ATTENDANCE
- Attending every single day is important.
- If you leave early without talking to your teacher
about your departure, you will be put absent.
- If you are having technical difficulties impacting
your ability to be in the Google Meet, you need to email your teacher.
DEPARTING
- At the end of the period, you are asked to say bye
to the group before you disconnect.
- You must talk to your teacher if you are leaving
early. If you miss over half of
the period, you will be put absent.
ARRIVING LATE
- If you arrive late, upon arrival, you need to put a
message in the chat such as:
·
Sorry
sir, I am arriving late today.
·
I
am just arriving now due to technical difficulties.
·
I
had an appointment. I am just arriving
now.
- If you arrive late, even just one minute late, you
will be put late in the attendance.
- If you are over 40 minutes late, you will be put
absent instead of late.
- If you arrive late, you will have to wait until the
end of the lesson for your teacher to help you catch up.
ASKING QUESTIONS
- During a lesson, please make use of the Raise Hand tool. If your teacher doesn’t respond after
a minute or so, please use the Raise Hand tool again.
- During work time, feel free to unmute and ask your
question. You may also use the
Raise Hand tool or the Chat as well.
- You can always post a question in the Chat
tool. However, sometimes your
teacher will miss it and you may have to inform your teacher that there
is a question/comment in the chat.
PARTICIPATION
- You are encouraged to participate
every day. You can do so by
adding comments in chat, by raising your hand and sharing comments or
asking questions.
HARDWARE
- In order to participate, you should make sure that
your microphone and your video camera are functional.
