FILL & STROKE PANEL

 

a)      One can open the Fill & Stroke panel from Object > Fill & Stroke.  This menu allows you to alter the style and colour of the fill and stroke.

Try this!  Start by creating five stars.  Move them and alter their fill and stroke to look similar to the image below.  It isn’t necessary that your work matches identically.

Star 1 – The original

Star 2 – Different stroke colour and opacity of 50%

Star 3 – Rounded stroke corners

Star 4 – Dotted stroke lines

Star 5 – Wavy pattern for fill

SELECTING MULTIPLE OBJECTS

 

b)     You can select multiple objects by holding down the ____________ key and clicking on multiple objects with the arrow tool.

 

GROUPING

 

c)      You can keep objects together by ______________ the together.  The shortcut key is CTRL-G or you can use Object > Group.  Groups can be easily moved or changed colours.

d)     You can take groups apart by using _____________.  The shortcut key is CTRL-U or you can use Object > Ungroup.

 

SELECTING OBJECTS BEHIND OTHER OBJECTS

 

e)     By holding down the _____________ key when using the arrow tool, you can select objects that are behind other objects (lower levels).  Clicking slowly multiple times allows you to toggle between objects.

 

Try this!  Stack several objects one on top of the other.  Then, with the arrow tool selected, ALT-click several times on the stack to toggle between them.
