ICT AT LOCKERBY

LOCKERBY ROBOTICS

Established in 2017, Lockerby Robotics is a student-lead club that participates in the Vex Robotics Competition (VRC).  While building robots is the goal of the team, hanging out and having fun is always a priority.

In VRC, students learn to design and build robots that will be used to compete in an annual game.  This involves preparing a robot for both an autonomous period and a tele-operated period.

The best teams at the regional tournament qualify for the provincial tournament.  And the best teams there qualify for the world championships in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

Robotics season begins in May and runs until the following April.  At busy times, the club meets a few times a week at lunch and two times a week after school.

All students are welcome to join.  No knowledge required.  Fun is guaranteed!  J
