COMPUTING COMPETITIONS

 

BEAVER COMPUTING CHALLENGE

All Lockerby students in grades 9 and 10 are welcome to write the Beaver Computing Challenge created by the University of Waterloo.  It is a 15 question multiple choice test that tests a student’s mathematical and problem solving skills.  No special skills are required for this competition.

CANADIAN COMPUTING CHALLENCE

The Canadian Computing Challenge is a world-famous competition created by the University of Waterloo.  It consists of 5 programming questions.  Students proficient in Java (or any other programming language) are welcome to write this test.  The questions are quite challenging but it is a fun afternoon.  Top students get an opportunity to move on to the national and international stage.
