HOW TO APPLY?

Application/registration forms are available on the door of room 101 across the hall from Guidance. You can also print your own form here. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Campeau.

WHO GETS ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM?

Most students that have a plan to complete a co-op placement and take four major courses are accepted into the program. This is determined during a short discussion with Mr. Campeau when students submit their registration form.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Any student that is interested in a career related to Information & Communications Technology should apply to join Lockerby ICT.

Any university-bound student wishing to pursue a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Video Game Design as well as other branches of Engineering would benefit from Lockerby ICT. Note that another option for potential engineers is Lockerby’s Mining SHSM that has a focus on engineering.

Any college-bound student wishing to pursue post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Video & Audio Production, Animation, Web Design, Computer Technology, Electrical Technology, Network Technology, Robotics & Automation, Video Game Design, Computer Programming would benefit from Lockerby ICT.

Any workplace-bound student wishing to develop skills related to computer & technology sales, desktop publishing, spreadsheet usage, telecommunications installation and so on would benefit from Lockerby ICT.

Any student wishing to pursue an apprenticeship in telecommunications installations and repairs, network technology or network installations would benefit from Lockerby ICT.

Furthermore, skills developed in ICT SHSM very much apply to most fields. Want your own business? Then some experience in web design would help. Want to go into advertising? Graphic design would benefit you. Want to be a photographer? Photo manipulation skills would be necessary. Want to design your own apps? Computer programming is a must. Want to go in biology? Check out bioinformatics! ICT SHSM has something for anybody!
