DRAWING – 3D PIPE

You will learn how to Create Sketches that are in 3D. This likely requires a setting change. Then you will fillet your path and use the Pipe command.

DIMENSIONS

All lines in the sketches below are of length 50 except two which are of length 25.

The 2D fillet applied to the lines used a radius of 10.

The pipe’s section size is 10, hollow, with a thickness of 1.

HOW TO TURN ON 3D SKETCHING

At the top right, you should see your name with a small down arrow. Click on it and choose Preferences.

Under General >Design, check “Allow 3D sketching of lines and splines”

Now when you draw lines, if you hover near the starting point of a line, you can get the 3-axis cursor and then make lines in any direction (even outside of the plane).
