TANGENTS & CIRCLES X4 – USE TANGENTS AND CIRCLES

THE DRAWING

KEY CONCEPTS

· Creating tangent lines off two circles.

· Creating a circle tangent to two lines/circles.

· Creating a circle tangent to three lines/circles.

· Creating arcs to form half circles.

HINTS (SIMPLE POOL)

· Draw two circles side by side. You will need a temporary line to get to the center of the 2^nd circle. The third circle is tangent to the first two.

· One can make tangent lines by using the line command, then typing tan, then selecting the first target, then typing tan and selecting the final.

HINTS (FLOWER)

· Everything is similar to the previous drawing.

HINTS (MARBLES IN A JAR)

· The smaller marbles are simply tangent to the items around them.

· The top is done with the arc command.

HINTS (PILL)

· You will need temporary lines to create the arcs.
