TASK – PART 1 – SETUP

 

  • Copy your Room class and RoomTester class into a new package.

  • Create a new class called RoomArraysTester.

 

 

TASK – PART 2 – ROOMARRAYTESTER CLASS

 

Do the following steps inside your new class:

 

  • Create a main function to place all of your code in.

  • Inside main, create a Room array named rooms of size 43.

  • Add the following statement:

         System.out.println(rooms[0]);

    It should output null.  All elements in the array are currently null.

  • Create the following Room objects in the array by copying and pasting the following statements:

  • Write a function named countClassrooms() that gets the Room[] as parameter and counts and returns how many rooms are classrooms.  Test you function.

  • Write a function named totalArea() that gets the Room[] as parameter and returns the total area of all rooms in the school.  Test you function.

  • Write a function named outputUnventilatedRooms() that gets the Room[] as parameter and outputs the room numbers of the rooms that are unventilated.  Test you function.

  • On average, a classroom needs 4 square meters for the entrance way, 6 square meters for the teacher’s area and then 2.5 square meters per student.  Write the function(s) required to determine how many students can fit in this school.    Test you function(s).
