Justin and Victoria are having an argument. Victoria claims that bacon is the best
thing in the world and Justin claims that Linux is the best thing in the
world. They are at an impasse.
Rebecca,
aka The Beckster, knows that if the colours blue and orange can work
together, then these two can surely come to an agreement - maybe. She proposes the following solution.
A duel. Or
a competition. The two will play a game to decide on who’s
wisdom is clearly superior. The game
is a simple game that gives each player a 50% chance to win. However, the overall winner is the first to
win 4 games. So it’s a best-of-seven
series.
At first, Justin questions this proposal because the game rules are not open
source. But after constant heckling
from Peter, he gives in but refuses to sign any documentation.

ANSWER
This is easy. Since both of them have
the same odds of winning a game, both will have the same odds of winning the
series. So 50% chance.
MORE TROUBLES FOR JUSTIN
Unfortunately for Justin, Ben just learned a new yoyo trick that he calls the
helicopter. His yoyo is 5 feet long
and he is only standing 4 feet away from Justin. Every second or so, the yoyo grazes the top
of Justin’s hair. Not enough to hurt
him. Just enough to annoy him. To affect his concentration. To put him off his game.
In his stressed situation, Justin’s chance of winning a single game is only
40%.
