INTRODUCTION

Your goals as a peer mentor are to:

·       help your teacher with everyday teaching tasks;

·       help improve the learning environment for students in the class; and

·       have an excellent learning experience while having fun.

As a peer mentor, you should:

·       attend every day and arrive on time;

·       model good behaviour;

·       encourage other students to be well behaved;

·       learn the names of all students in the class;

·       encourage positive interactions between students;

As a peer mentor, you should not:

·       play video games in class;

·       do work for your other courses;

·       encourage poor behavior or bad decisions; and

·       do nothing.

If you are ever uncertain about what to do next, simply ask your teacher.
